(Note, potential SPOILERS for Avengers: Age of Ultron below)
So, folks - if, like me, you're already massively over-excited for the impending arrival of Avengers: Age of Ultron, there's probably a palpable hole in your life right now. After all, it's been far too long since last year's release of Guardians of the Galaxy, Netflix's Daredevil is still over a month away, Agent Carter has finished its run, and Spider-Man's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has already been announced. What, then, do we have to obsess over in terms of the MCU?
Well, for some of us, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. can provide a temporary fix of Marvel-goodness - but for fans who stick to the movies? The next two months are set to be a long wait.
Unless, of course, one of the stars of Age of Ultron were to come riding to the rescue - like, say, if...

Chris Hemsworth Totally Just Confirmed a Bunch of Age of Ultron Rumors

Which, wouldn't you know it, he totally just did...
Speaking to IGN, Hemsworth - Thor himself - not only confirmed that a whole bunch of long-standing rumors are true, but totally teased a major fight scene that we weren't expecting.
That's right...

Thor's Set to Fight...The Vision?

Yup, from the sounds of it, IGN's set visit coincided with the filming of a big fight sequence between the two long-time Avengers - one which suggests that The Vision spends at least a part of the movie acting as a villain...
"This is their first meeting, really. And it's, as you can see, it's conflicted. It's a big fight scene."
The intriguing part, there? From the sounds of it, it's not a clear-cut hero vs. villain kind of situation - suggesting that the pair's first meeting might well come late in the film, perhaps after The Vision has shown he has the potential to be a hero.
Which might actually be a whole lot more plausible than it initially sounds, considering...

Hemsworth Just Revealed He'll Head Off Alone in the Middle of the Movie

Remember how, back in that leaked video of Tony Stark and Cap chopping wood, they made reference to Thor clearing out?
Well, it sure seems like that's going to be for a decent chunk of the movie. As Hemsworth suggested, when asked whether Thor was 'divorced' from what's happening in Asgard:
"He kind of is until the third act. Halfway through [the story] Thor begins to have suspicions about what the bigger picture is here, you know? Who's involved. And he actually doesn't know by the end of it, but he starts to think something’s not right here. [He thinks] 'This is all a little too convenient. Why has this happened?' Which you know, certainly points his focus back there [to Asgard]."
At the same time, though...

Thor Seems Set to Spot the Thanos Problem

As Hemsworth puts it:
"[In this one] the threat is so great that I think all of them are sort of scratching their heads and going, 'Okay we have to kill this many things?' He sort of openly admits that we [maybe] can't win this one. It's just an onslaught and it doesn't stop. It's an open floodgate and what it also sets in motion is an even bigger threat. I think that's what Thor is kind of stuck on. That's where his attention is: an even bigger picture of Thor being from Asgard. He can just say, 'Hang on, there's a whole universe here, which is signaling something else.'"
Because that bigger threat? That's totally Thanos...
Plus, just to add to Thor's problems...

He's Definitely Going to Be Struck By a Scarlet Witch Vision

And, best of all, it sounds as though we really are going to see those long-rumored visions cause all kinds of internal problems for the team:
"It certainly creates a conflict. It's more kind of in their individual selves rather than the team so much. I think they'll begin to have their fears sort of held up in front of them and for Thor I think it's a corruption of power. And with all of them having so much power and with the understanding that we're in this sort of endless battle here [with no idea] when this is going to end and how it ends...That scene is actually being rewritten at the moment if you want to talk to Joss about it, so it's hard to even say what it will be in Thor’s dream sequence. But, yeah, it kicks in motion his movement. That's where he really starts to kind of move through the story. Once that dream occurs he goes, 'Oh, I can see what's coming and my fear is this could be true.' So yeah it’s a ticking clock."
Which sounds downright awesome.
The main takeaway from all of that, though? Chris Hemsworth clearly can't be trusted to keep a secret - and long may that continue...

What do you think, though? What'll we see Thor head off to do in Age of Ultron? What can we expect his Scarlet Witch-induced vision to be? And just what the heck is the deal with Thanos?

Chris Hemsworth Confirms THAT Avengers: Age of Ultron Rumor

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Guys! I am trying to write this without freaking out so allow me to write one line of random drabble. Ready?
ANDJFNSNSKGNSKNF!!
Spider-Man is coming to the MCU! Spider-Man will appear in an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film! Which film that is has yet to be announced, but I'd put my money on Captain America: Civil War!
Afterwards, Sony Pictures will release the next installment of the Amazing Spider-Man franchise on July 28th, 2017 with Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal co-producing!
FREAKING OUT MAN!!!!
FREAKING OUT MAN!!!!
Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films. Basically, this means that Marvel will be able to have Spider-Man in their films, but almost ALL of the credit goes to Sony; something I am completely okay with!
Not only will Spidey be able to show up in Captain America's films if he wants, the heroes of the MCU might also be able to show up in Amazing Spider-Manfilms! Yes! JUST YES!
According to the Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger:
"Spider-Man is one of Marvel's great characters, beloved around the world. We're thrilled to work with Sony Pictures to bring the iconic web-slinger into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which opens up fantastic new opportunities for storytelling and franchise building."
Finally! Two huge companies working together, instead of trying to bring each other down! If you think about it, this is some huge Civil War foreshadowing. Think of Sony and Marvel as the two sides. Spidey brought them together and ended the war, making a much better ending than the actual Civil War storyline's!
The news comes from an article on Marvel.com. Unfortunately, going to the link directly does not work; at least not for me. So instead, go to the tweet below and click on the link from there. If it still doesn't work, very sorry.
No word on who will play Spidey, but I'm hoping they keep Andrew Garfield. If not, I have faith in both Sony and Marvel to cast the best person for the job!

Spider-Man Coming to MCU! Fans Rejoice!

Black Panther hints in Avengers 2
January
5/5 stars
Avengers:Age of Ultron trailer SPOILERS
Thanks to Marvel Studios’ massive announcement last year, quite a few facts are currently known about the planned Black Panther movie that will release in 2017. Get On Up star Chadwick Boseman will play the lead role, and will make his first appearance as the character in next year’s sequel Captain America: Civil War. Boseman has a five-picture deal, which means that there’s a strong chance that he’ll assemble alongside the Avengers in the two-part Avengers: Infinity War movies.
The groundwork for Black Panther will be laid much sooner than that, however, as the latest trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron has dropped further hints about Black Panther-related plot elements that will be featured in the film.
WARNING – POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD.

Ulysses Klaw and Vibranium

First things first: as though any further confirmation was needed that Andy Serkis is playing Black Panther’s nemesis Ulysses Klaw (aside from the fact that he is sporting the character’s distinctive beard- and hair-style), a new shot of Serkis in the trailer shows that he sports a claw necklace and generally looks every bit the part of a dirty smuggler of rare metals.

The particular rare metal that attracts Klaw’s interest, vibranium, is also what ties the Avengers, Ultron and Black Panther together. Ultron will take on many forms and evolve throughout the film, including a form with a shell made out of vibranium. Vibranium is also the material that Captain America’s shield is made out of, and one of the few places where it can be found is Wakanda, the African country that Black Panther rules over.

What do the filming locations suggest we'll see?

One of the first international filming locations used for Avengers: Age of Ultronwas Johannesburg in South Africa, but if any question remained that Johannesburg might be used as a stand-in for another city, the new trailer showed officers wearing South African Police Service uniforms and a South African restaurant chain called Nyama & Chips. This is the location of a major showdown between Hulk and Iron Man, as Bruce Banner apparently loses control of “the other guy.”

The second Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer goes further than showing new shots of Johannesburg, however; it also seems to confirm that Wakanda itself will appear in the movie. A new shot of the mysterious cave pool where Thor was shown bursting shirtless out of the water in the first trailer shows an unidentified African woman standing on the edge of the pool and dropping her cloak to the ground. Popular speculation points to this woman being a member of Black Panther’s personal security detail, the Dora Milaje.

CBM also noted that the shot of an apparently random city that the Quinjet is shown flying through could very well be a look at Wakanda, since the architecture looks similar to that of the city in the comics. We couldn’t find any locations in Johannesburg or Seoul (the two major cities where location shoots for Avengers: Age of Ultron took place) that match this shot, and it appears to be CGI. Of course, if any readers recognize the buildings as belonging to a real world city then please let us know in the comments.
[UPDATE: Thanks to Screen Rant reader 4play for identifying this location. It's actually not Wakanda, but the Digital Media City area of Seoul. Here's an image showing the location from another angle.]

The trailer doesn’t seem to offer any reason to believe that Boseman himself will appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron, so it’s still safe to assume that Kevin Feige was being honest when he said that Captain America: Civil War would mark the character’s first on-screen appearance. Nonetheless, that doesn’t rule out the possibility of Black Panther being alluded to in Marvel’s next movie, to help build hype for his eventual debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Still thinking about that mystery woman...

The woman by the pool isn’t the only mystery woman in the trailer. A shot of Thor channelling lightning through his body in some kind of candlelit hall also briefly reveals another woman, possibly also wearing Dora Milaje garb, standing behind him. This could mean that Thor will end up having a showdown with the Dora Milaje or (like many things in the trailers) it could be part of an illusion conjured by Scarlet Witch. Whatever it is, the clip is too short to make out much detail.
After peering far too closely at the trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron, it’s worth sitting back and watching it from start to finish without any pauses. This is definitely one summer movie that’s worth getting excited for, are you?
Avengers: Age of Ultron is in theaters on May 1, 2015, and Black Panther releases on November 3, 2017.

Black Panther hints in Avengers:Age of Ultron trailer

Saturday, February 7, 2015

Comic-Con International 2014 is officially over and we escaped with an underwhelming number of surprise announcements when compared to expectations leading up to this year’s event. Coming into the San Diego event, Marvel Studios had scheduled new six unannounced films in addition to a few the studio still hadn’t titled from previously.
When we spoke to Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige on Saturday morning, there were nine unannounced projects with release dates in 2016-19. We knew (and still know) one of those is for the untitled Captain America 3 coming May 2016. With so many other dates set, we expected to learn about a bunch of them during the Marvel Studios panel at last week’s San Diego Comic-Con and theorized on the possibility that Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have quite a few more films than Phase 2 – assuming that their May 2019 date could be for The Avengers 3.
Hours before that panel though, I asked Feige for some background on why Marvel added a third date to 2018 (giving them three in a year for two years in a row) a few days after announcing five other new ones. He wouldn’t offer any hints on how many of the releases we could see unveiled later that day (only one as it turns out - Guardians of the Galaxy 2) but did explain the push to three in 2018.
“The last one was just a scheduling thing. There were other studios that were moving their chess pieces around on their chessboard, which is why that had been in the works, which is why that other 2018 date came up a few days after the initial release.”
The scheduling “thing” is of course the release dates for Sinister Six and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 that Sony announced during Comic-Con. They had pulled their Spider-Man release that year from May which left it open for Marvel Studios to immediately take, and so they did. May 2018 is exactly three years after The Avengers: Age of Ultron will release, which is three years after the first Avengers so we wondered how that may affect when they were planning to release the third team-up.
“We haven’t really talked about when we’ll see Avengers 3. I presume we’d like to stick to three years between Avengers movies like we did…Oh, No, it was two years, wasn’t it? What was it? Yeah, yeah. So it’d probably be three years about Avengers 2 and 3.”
If that’s the case, Phase 3 of the MCU is going to be three releases shorter assuming it takes the most obvious date of May 4, 2018 and so the three films scheduled after that are probably the beginning of Phase 4. A few contracts for the core Avengers reportedly end with The Avengers 3, so that’s going to be a major transition point for The Avengers roster.

What movie do you think Marvel is planning for May 2019? Is there a chance it could be for Iron Man 4?

Chris Hemsworth is truly one of the most bankable stars, and definitely in-demand. His projects have surfaced here and there. Aside from his current film, Blackhat, the Aussie actor will also be in the much-anticipated sequel of The Avengers, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he will once again put on his armor as the God of Thunder, Thor.
Thor had been Hemsworth ultimate ride to instant fame. He has shown that he had more than just the looks and the charms, he's also got the acting skills to pull of his action-packed scenes and transformations in Marvel's stand-alone films. The 31-year old actor, crowned last year as People's Sexiest Man Alive, had managed to win over many fans because of that.
It's no wonder why the cries are louder than before for Thor 3: Ragnarok. Here's the latest Thor 3: Ragnarok Release Date and Plot Spoilers.
It will still be awhile until we see Thor back in the Kingdom of Asgard fighting his own battles, and Hemsworth is mum about the details of his film. However, he did give some hints as to what stage in the production they're currently at.
"There is no script for Thor, the next Thor, so I have no idea where he'll up. But it's a pretty, big one."
He also hinted that fans better stay tune and better not miss out on the Age of Ultron because there will be big events that will occur there that will have an effect on nearly all Avenger standalone movies, including the third Thor 3.
"Yeah, definitely. I mean, it has to, doesn't it? Unless I was on the sidelines kind of waving. He's not."
Possible spoiler alert. Rumors have been spreading that, with the introduction of Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron will give Marvel fans a brief glimpse into the future, one which might involve the sexy God dead. But, it might not just be him.
A Reddit User, LuneyTunes, pointed out that this hint was actually in the trailer. "There is a shot in the previous 'Age of Ultron' trailer that shows Captain America's shield broken. If you look closely, you will see Thor's arm also. I think this is the future shown by Scarlet Witch - and is his and Steve Roger's death in a faceoff with Thanos."
This, of course, hasn't been confirmed nor denied by the people behind Thor 3. Although Ragnarok does signify the end of the Thor standalone film, it still remains inconclusive.
Back in July 2014, Kevin Feige, Marvel's president revealed that the storyline for the third movie was still being outlined. And a lot of changes could be made since we're too far from the release date.
Thor 3: Ragnarok arrives in theatres on June 28, 2017.

The Avengers Age of Ultron Plot Details The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]
In a year with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World, Mad Max: Fury Road, and more, The Avengers: Age of Ultron has competition for most anticipated movie of the year – but it’s undoubtedly the most anticipated superhero movie of the year (sorry, Ant-Man and Fantastic Four). The followup to Joss Whedon’s insanely popular The Avengers will see the titular team battling Ultron, a psychotic robot with the voice of James Spader (The Blacklist).
[SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT]
The Beginning of ‘Age of Ultron’ & New Relationships
Avengers 2 Age of Ultron Lifting Thors Hammer The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]
Avengers producer Jeremy Latcham talked about the team’s status at the beginning of the film, saying:
'This movie starts off and the team is together, on a mission, they’re working in tandem, and there are new relationships between them. Time has passed, so you pick up right in the middle of an action sequence and start trying to catch up.”
The action sequence likely involves the defeat of Baron von Strucker, which will apparently lead to the Avengers party from the trailers that depicts various Avengers attempting to pick up Thor’s hammer. This is the point of the story when everything seems to be going well for the team – they’re working well together, they’re happy, they’re successful. Obviously, this won’t last for long once Ultron does his thing.
The Hulk and Black Widow in Avengers Age of Ultron The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]
Latcham continued:
“I think [it's] fun for an audience to try and figure out, ‘Wait, those two are funny together now, there’s something going on with them, maybe there’s a little tension over there.’ You’re showing up at a party when it’s already a little bit started.”
It seems that the two characters with “tension” are likely Bruce Banner and Black Widow. There have been hints in the trailers that they have something of a connection, but it’s yet unclear if that connection is romantic in nature.
Said Joss Whedon about them:
“They’re an unlikely pair, but there’s something about the two of them that neither can deny.”
Sounds kind of romantic to us.

Joss Whedon’s Favorite Character Is Black Widow

Black Widow Johansson The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]
It’s probably no surprise that Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow is Joss Whedon’s favorite character. From Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Firefly to Dollhouse to his work on Astonishing X-Men, Whedon tends to to be particularly fond of the female characters in his stories.
Said Whedon:
“[Black Widow] has a special place in my heart – there is one scene in each movie that was filmed pretty much unchanged from the first draft, and they’re both Natasha scenes. She’s just somebody that I feel like I get.”
Before Whedon wrote Black Widow in The Avengers, she was a pretty one-dimensional, uninteresting character in Iron Man 2. Most would agree that it was Whedon’s depiction of Widow that made her the popular character she is today, with fans all over clamoring for a standalone film.

How ‘Age of Ultron’ Will Lead to ‘Captain America: Civil War’

The Avengers Age of Ultron Iron Man Captain America Robert Downey Jr Chris Evans The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]

In the wake of Captain America: The Winter Soldier – and the dissolution of SHIELD – the Avengers are basically leaderless. While this is seemingly not a problem at the beginning of Age of Ultron, it’ll definitely become one during the film’s running time.
Jeremy Letchum said:
“SHIELD has fallen apart, so this movie becomes Tony Stark and Steve Rogers trying to put the Avengers together without a parental unit like Nick Fury hovering over them. What you realize is that these are guys who work best with rules, and probably do need some adult supervision.”
Both Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are stubborn, strong-willed individuals, and otherwise very different personality-wise. Needless to say, that sort of combination can lead to some conflict, and it might very well be (part of) the impetus for Captain America: Civil War.
Said Letchum:
“Tony has been paying for everything, designing stuff, building new toys, he’s the benefactor of the whole thing. But Steve Rogers is very much in charge of operations and missions, he’s the moral compass. But how long can Tony Stark have someone else be in charge?”
Probably not very long. It’ll be interesting to see what else will come to cause the Civil War besides personality differences. (After all, that’d be a pretty petty war.) Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t hinge upon secret identities like the comic books do – and the Civil War of the comic books did – what will be at the heart of the film’s conflict?

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Is a Mish-Mash of Genres

Avengers Age of Ultron battle The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]
The Marvel movies are known for having similar structures, styles, tones, and general “feels,” though they do occasionally fit into pre-established genres in addition to the amorphous “superhero genre.” The First Avengers was sort of a war movie, Winter Soldier was sort of a ’70s spy thriller, Guardians of the Galaxy was sort of a space opera, and so on.
But what, pray tell, is The Avengers: Age of Ultron? According to Whedon, it’s kind of a whole bunch of genres mixed together:
“With the first [Avengers], I set out to make a war movie. This time I said to Marvel, ‘I really want to make more of a science-fiction horror.’ But then in the first week I was like ‘This is clearly a western.’ “Then it became a war movie again, then, ‘Oh no, it’s a romantic comedy, a 1940s romantic comedy… No, it’s Ibsen! No, okay, it’s definitely an adventure. It’s an action comedy!’
“I suppose if it’s gonna get put in a category, it has got some science fiction in it, but for me, it’s just everything. And hopefully that doesn’t come out as ADD, but as what happens when you put these different people together, you get that kind of weird dissonance with their different worlds and styles, and you hopefully make music out of it, instead of a horrible cacophony.”
Considering Whedon has plenty of experience mixing and matching genres – every single project he’s ever worked on has done this – we can’t imagine Avengers 2 will make “a horrible cacophony” out of it.

The Reason Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver Fight The Avengers

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in The Avengers Age of Ultron The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]
Elizabeth Olsen – who plays Scarlet Witch in Age of Ultron – explained why she and her brother Quicksilver join an evil talking robot to take on The Avengers.
Said Olsen:
“Our characters have a lot of anger, especially towards Tony Stark, and we want revenge. We meet Ultron, and he’s someone who preaches peace and… believes what we believe, which is that the Avengers create destruction and that Tony Stark’s bomb is responsible for killing our parents.”
Tony Stark’s bomb? Is this a bomb he created in his past life as a weapons manufacturer (as portrayed in the original Iron Man movie)?

The Difference Between Hawkeye in ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Age of Ultron’

avengers age ultron opening scene hawkeye The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]

Jeremy Renner sort of famously didn’t love his work on The Avengers, mostly because he was relegated to being hypnotized by Loki for more than half the film. We’ve known for a while now that that would change for the sequel, and Joss Whedon backs that up here.
Said Whedon:
“We got to do some interesting stuff with Hawkeye which is a different kind of dark. It’s been fun for Jeremy because he was possessed for so long last time – it’s interesting to not be a zombie!”
Not only will Hawkeye “not be a zombie” in the film, but he’ll also get some really nifty sleeves to keep him warm. So it’s good news all around for Jeremy Renner.

Joss Whedon Is Done Making ‘Avengers’ Movies

Joss Whedon and Chris Hemsworth on The Avengers set The Avengers: Age of Ultron Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]

For the umpteenth time now, Joss Whedon is making it clear that he has no intention of returning to make more Avengers films. Not for Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 or 2, not for a hypothetical Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy crossover, not for anything.
Said Whedon on the subject:
“I cannot imagine directing a film with – if you’ll pardon the expression – more f**king people in it. I’d love to see one, though.”
Don’t be too sad, Whedon fans, this is potentially very good news. After Whedon takes a much deserved break from directing massive blockbuster movies, he’ll be able to use his Avengers clout to create something brand-new on a much larger scale than his previous projects. That’s something we should all be excited for.

‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Plot Details Revealed [Spoilers]

Daniel Bruhl: Baron Zemo
Just a couple months after it was announced Daniel Bruhl had been cast as a villain in "Captain America: Civil War", it was revealed that villain is none other than Baron Zemo.
So, what do we know about Captain America 3's Zemo? Well, for starters, there are actually two Baron Zemo's in the Marvel universe. The first, Baron Heinrich Zemo, made his debut in "The Avengers #4", as part of a flashback. The second, his son Baron Helmut Zemo, first appeared in "Captain America #168".
It's unclear which incarnation of Zemo Bruhl will be playing in Captain America 3, but we're thinking it'll be Helmut. Though he doesn't appear within the "Civil War" storyline, he is part of the following arc. After the events of "Civil War", Iron Man asked Zemo to start recruiting villains (something he'd already started doing), but Zemo decides to help Captain America instead.
RELATED: Black Widow Will Live Through 'The Avengers: Age Of Ultron', Scarlett Johansson Officially Returning for 'Captain America: Civil War'
One of Helmut Zemo's distinguishing features is his badly disfigured face (which he earned prior to the events of "Civil War"). Following the accidental death of his father — for which he blamed Cap — Helmut sought revenge. During the ensuing battle, he fell into a boiling vat of Adhesive X, the extra-strength bonding material created by Heinrich.
Like his father before him, Helmut grew up supporting the idea of a Master Race ruling the world — something that obviously would put him in direct conflict with someone like Cap.

Captain America 3 SPOILERS: Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo Character Details Revealed

Monday, February 2, 2015

Fabulous, darling.
With the upcoming titles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe now fully announced, it's been made clear we're going to be seeing a lot more than we thought of the characters who didn't get a solo movie. Which ones? Well, you've got the Hulk, Black Widow, Nick Fury...
... Oh, and of course, Hawkeye.
As you probably already know, the acrobatic archer has been promised (and confirmed to have) a much larger role in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Well, a bigger one than he had in its predecessor, at least.
What's a hawk star???
What's a hawk star???
So (like or not) we're bound for a lot more of Barton's bow to appear on our screens - which for me, isn't too bad, actually. But what are we going to be seeing him do? And what's he going to look like whilst he's doing it? Well, lucky for you, this article has set out to answer that very question.
So we'll start off simple. The Avengers: Age of Ultron just dropped, and we see our fair share of Agent Clint within it. Here it is, below:

Firstly, if you hadn't seen that already, quit reading now. Just quit.
For those who had, welcome back. Let's look at pretty much the first shot we got in that trailer:
Quick as you like, ladies.
Quick as you like, ladies.
And now skip to a shot of him we actually got in trailer one, and we see this:
(I refuse to include trailer one - you should have seen it already.)
Stealthy...
Stealthy...
So looking at those two we can put a couple of things together...

1. Hawkeye is Still Running Errands

Meh.
Meh.
Indeed. We see him in the first shot ushering people into what seemed like a very official-looking tank - a typical rescue mission from the waste Ultron has laid to the landscape. So essentially, he's still Hawkeye.
He's still an asset, perhaps of the government's, which has interesting implications when it comes to Captain America: Civil War. If you want to check my definitive team guide for that film, hit up my profile!
We know for sure that the Avengers themselves are now a government-approved group, especially with the likes of the former Iron Patriot in their ranks (I hate to keep referencing my own articles, but I've actually got one on War Machine's future & you can check my profile for that too, if you're interested!) Not only that, we also see Cap wearing a uniform with an actual Avengers logo on his shoulder, which suggests that the world's finest are much more, say, official, than they were before.
Lookin' slick there, Stevey.
Lookin' slick there, Stevey.
But back to Hawkeye. I think, from his very much controllable roots (I mean, c'mon, he was literally possessed throughout the last installment) we'll see an independently thinking agent Barton grow - and I think Age of Ultron/Civil War will show the beginnings of this.
The second picture backs up this argument. Notice his more stealth-like, sleeved suit he dons whilst running through snow (a topic for later discussion) - an obvious spy/intel retrieval mission. There's a lot of speculation as to what he's up to in that scene, but I can't confirm anything, as I don't know for sure. The whole "spying mission" premise seems pretty solid to me, though!
Now, about that costume...

2. Is Hawkeye too Getting an Upgrade in the Avengers' next Adventure?

Because... Because yes.
Because... Because yes.
That's right. We've seen Cap's and Stark's new outfits revealed by Hot Toys, we've seen snippets of Black Widow's new skin-tight costume (no complaints) and Hasbro have shown us a possible War Machine Mark II. So what about Barton? Why shouldn't he be allowed an upgrade, too?
Well, I reckon he will. We're yet to see the aforementioned company Hot Toysannounce the archer's latest get-up (perhaps under instruction from Marvel) and I reckon when we do we'll actually see two of them. As in the first picture, perhaps a slightly upgraded sleeveless suit, and then, as in the second picture, a much more stealthy sleeved outfit.
Personally, though we haven't seen a perfect shot of it yet, I'm pretty interested in what his open-armed clothing will look like. I'd love to see Marvel take a slight Batman-like route with Hawkeye and introduce a few extra gadgets that aren't all on the tips of arrows. Perhaps they could make Clint look like the result of a steamy night the Dark Knight & Green Arrow shared...
But who knows? Is Hawkeye destined for big or for small? Is he going to be equipped enough to take on the likes of an army of homicidal robots? I guess we're just gonna have to wait 'til May 1st.
Damnit.
Damnit.
But if you think I'm wrong, take the poll, or have your say in the comments! Thanks for reading! Remember, if you like my stuff, hit that follow button!
